Clearing dates for 2026
Clearing is now closed for 2025. Take a look at our undergraduate courses for January 2026 and September 2026 entry.

When does Clearing open? When is Results Day? Here are the important Clearing dates for your diary.
January 2026
14 January: Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses
Applications for all 2026 entry undergraduate courses should be submitted to UCAS by 18:00 (UK time) on 14 January 2026.
February 2026
26 February: UCAS Extra opens
If you've not received any university offers for your five choices, you can add another choice using UCAS Extra. It gives you another chance to gain a place at university or college.
If you don't get the offer of a place through Extra, you still have another chance with Clearing.

June 2026
30 June: UCAS applications close
UK students can apply via UCAS for a university place until 18:00 (UK time) 30 June. After this deadline, your application for a course will automatically be entered into Clearing.
International students can apply through UCAS as normal. See our Clearing guide for international students.
30 June: Accommodation guarantee deadline for students from Scotland
Deadline for eligible students to apply for guaranteed Stirling accommodation. After this date, accommodation may be available, but no longer guaranteed.
July 2026
1 July: UCAS Extra closes
This is the final day you can add another course choice through UCAS Extra. Any additional courses added to your application after this date will need to be added through the Clearing process.
2 July: UCAS Clearing opens

July: International Baccalaureate results
Publication of International Baccalaureate results
August 2026
4 August: SQA results day
SQA Highers and Advanced Highers results are published for Scotland.
20 August: A-Levels results day
It is expected that A-Levels results are published that day.

31 August: Accommodation guarantee deadline for students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, EU and International
Deadline for eligible students to arrange your guaranteed Stirling accommodation. After this date, accommodation may be available, but no longer guaranteed.
September 2026
Autumn semester starts
October 2026
19 October: UCAS Clearing closes
Last date to add Clearing choices on UCAS. Clearing at Stirling closes at the end of August.
