Entry and English language requirements

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language skills. For a complete list of the English language qualifications we accept, including where we are able to waive an English condition based on certain local qualifications, please see our English language requirements.

Undergraduate

Australian Capital Territory

Pass ACT Senior Secondary Certificate with C in any essential subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

New South Wales

Pass Higher School Certificate with minimum Performance Band of 3 in any essential subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

Northern Territory

Pass Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET) with a minimum grade of C at stage 2 in any essential subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

Queensland

Pass Queensland Certificate of Education, with SA/Sound Achievement in any required subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

South Australia

Pass South Australia Certificate of Education (SACE) with a minimum grade of C at stage 2 in any essential subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

Tasmania

Pass Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) with SA/Satisfactory Achievement in any essential subject(s), plus minimum ATAR of 70

Victoria

Pass Victoria Certificate of Education (VCE) with a minimum grade of C in any essential subject(s) at Unit 3 or Unit 4, plus minimum ATAR of 70

Western Australia

Pass Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) with a minimum grade of C/Satisfactory Achievement in any essential subject(s) at Stage 2 or Stage 3, plus minimum ATAR of 70

Postgraduate

Minimum of Second Class, Lower Division/Credit/Division B/Division 2 in a four year Bachelor's (Honours) degree.

New Zealand

Undergraduate

We accept the following qualifications:

University Entrance Certificate
University Entrance Certificate with National Certificate in Educational Achievement Level 3
University Entrance Certificate with New Zealand Bursaries Certificate, with average grade of 65% or above

Postgraduate

Minimum average of B- in a 4-year Bachelor's Honours degree.

Pre-sessional English language courses

Need help improving your English? If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements, our Pre-sessional English courses can help you progress onto your degree. Delivered on campus by the University of Stirling International Study Centre, you’ll be able to access expert training and language support.

International Society

The International Society gives students from all around the world a chance to meet each other and arrange fun events, trips and socials on campus, in Stirling or in different cities across Scotland to provide a real Scottish experience.
