Free period products

Students can access a range of free period products across the campus and order online.

The University, in partnership with the Students’ Union, have made a variety of free period products available to all students.

Our period products are inclusive to all genders with products in a range of places, including accessible and male toilets. These principles were also considered when choosing a provider which would be inclusive to all in their packaging. Students are regularly consulted regarding the range of products available, quality, and branding.

Available products

Reuseable

  • Period pants, available in two sizes XS-L and XL-3XL.
  • Period cup, available in two sizes (can also be collected from the Green and Blue Space with your student ID number without making an online order).

Order for free online via the Students' Union Shop.

Disposable

  • Regular and super non-applicator tampons.
  • Regular and super cardboard applicator tampons.
  • Sanitary towels.
  • Night sanitary towels.

The disposable products are available to order online for free via the Students' Union Shop and can be collected from locations around campus.

Please refer to the manufacturers’ guidelines prior to using any of the period products.

Order online

Students can order products, for free, from the online Students' Union shop to be collected from the Students’ Union campus shop in the Atrium, if you live within a four mile radius. If your address is further than four miles from campus your products can be posted to you, also for free.

Most reusable products must be ordered online and either collected from the Students’ Union shop or posted to you, these are not available in the collection locations around campus other than the Students’ Union shop. The exception is period cups which can be collected from the Green and Blue Space without first ordering online.
