Jiayi Lu

Jiayi Lu graduated from the University of Stirling with a Masters in Sports Management. Jiayiu now works as a Promotional Specialist for YONEX China Badminton, based in Shanghai.

A big part of my current role involves planning events, securing venues, and filming and making promotional materials. I organise the annual YONEX summer camps where I can see students grow their skills and confidence while having fun.

Opening up new horizons

While undertaking my Masters in Sport Management my tutor helped me enrol on an internship programme which taught me more about western culture. It opened up new horizons for me.

The research methods and data analytics modules I took on my course at Stirling have helped me massively in my current role. It allows me to feel more confident in my work everyday.

Pre-sessional English course was greatly beneficial

I studied a pre-sessional English course at the International Study Centre based on the Stirling campus, This course helped me improve English skills and taught me a lot about how to settle in a UK university. It was a great stepping stone for me.

Living in Stirling was probably the happiest time of my life. Being at the University of Stirling really made a big difference to my outlook in life, and truly made me “Be the difference”.
