The University of Stirling was the ideal choice for me due to the fact that they offered the specific data science for business course I was looking for, especially with a focus on modules including Machine Learning, Business Analytics, and Python. Additionally, the recommendations from my friends who had studied there previously through the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship played a significant role in my decision. 

I chose the MSc Data Science for Business course because of my passion for utilising data to drive business decisions and improve organisational processes. The combination of modules such as Machine Learning, Business Consultancy, and Mobile Financial Applications, aligned perfectly with my career aspirations in the field of data engineering.

After graduating, I secured a data engineering role at United Bank of Africa (UBA) in Cameroon. My studies had a significant impact on my career by equipping me with the necessary technical knowledge and analytical skills to thrive in a data-driven environment. The practical experience gained during the course also helped me transition smoothly into my new role. 

My academic journey at the esteemed University of Stirling has been transformational, shaping both my professional trajectory and personal growth. The rigorous modules in Statistics with R, Business Analytics, and Personal and Professional Development have equipped me with invaluable knowledge and skills, propelling my success as a data engineer at UBA in Cameroon.

One of the specific features of the course that I liked the most was the opportunity to work on a consultancy project at the end of the course. This hands-on experience allowed me to apply the concepts learned in class to real-world business challenges, enhancing my problem-solving abilities and practical skills.

Collaborating with talented classmates from various countries has not only enriched my academic experience but also provided me with a global perspective. By working closely with diverse peers, I have honed my teamwork skills, gained fresh insights, and cultivated a network of international connections that continue to bolster my professional advancement at UBA. My time at the University of Stirling has truly been a catalyst for my career development and personal enrichment.

To prospective students considering coming to the University of Stirling to study Masters in Data Science for Business, my advice would be to fully immerse yourself in the coursework, take advantage of networking opportunities, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. The course offers a comprehensive curriculum that can truly prepare you for a successful career in the field of data science. 

My time at the University of Stirling has been truly rewarding, both in academic and personal growth. The knowledge, skills, and connections I gained there have been crucial in shaping my career path and creating new opportunities in data science and business analytics. The University of Stirling with its motto 'be the difference', has been a pivotal force in guiding me towards a future filled with possibilities and impact.
