Develop your skills and ideas
The Enterprise Programme seeks to inspire and support entrepreneurial skill-building, idea generation, and business model creation. Every year, we run a range of innovation challenges and idea competitions.
The programme is open to all students, staff, recent alumni* and eligible community members through Scotland’s International Environment Centre (SIEC).

Develop your idea on our StirLaunch Bootcamp
StirLaunch is our pre-accelerator bootcamp offering skill-building, company creation education, and tailored support to a small cohort of eligible aspiring founders over a seven-week period.
Are you passionate about developing a business idea? Have you been attending our open Develop Stream workshops and believe you have a viable business model? Then StirLaunch could be just what you need to accelerate the development of your promising venture.
StirLaunch includes weekly training sessions, peer-to-peer learning, business advice, and access to enhanced support. You’ll also become part of a tight-knit community of like-minded aspiring entrepreneurs.
The programme runs over seven weeks, with activities taking place both in-person and online. Successful applicants should be available for approximately three hours each week over the course of the programme. StirLaunch is open to individuals and teams with ideas for, or early-stage, business ventures — including social, community, creative, and for-profit models.
For full details about upcoming StirLaunch cohorts and eligibility criteria, please email enterprise@stir.ac.uk for an informal conversation.

They provide participants with the tools, confidence and validation to turn pioneering ideas into viable businesses through intensive business training, 1-2-1 support, generous equity-free cash prizes and expert, professional advice from a roster of industry partners.
