Scotland’s International Environment Centre (SIEC) is a pioneering community of researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs driving the creation of a net zero regional economy in the Forth Valley.
Through a joined-up package of world-leading science, entrepreneurial support and skills and training, SIEC aims to make the Forth Valley a global exemplar of low-carbon growth, supporting jobs and prosperity while remaining environmentally sustainable.
SIEC is funded by the UK and Scottish Governments through the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal. The collaboration brings together partners in industry, local government, education and the third sector, led by the University of Stirling.
Our purpose
The mission of SIEC is to develop a new economic culture across Stirling and Clackmannanshire. By combining environmental responsibility with inclusive economic opportunities, we will not only drive economic productivity, but foster genuine prosperity for all. SIEC’s projects and programmers deliver the ideas, business support, skills and training that together will facilitate a ‘Just Transition’ to net zero ways of working and living.
