Drop in to the Library to view the exhibition The Friendly Games and celebrate the history of the games.
Curated and designed by students on the ARTUHR5 undergraduate module, this exhibition will explore the Commonwealth Games and the sense of belonging that comes from sport.
The exhibition uses the University of Stirling’s archival material to highlight the emotions that shape the Commonwealth Games and how sport has become a place for unity, representation and shared experiences.
On arrival, visitors will encounter the visual material from the games, including posters and memorabilia, revealing how art and sport can come together to express the identity of the games and the communities involved.
Diversity and inclusion sit at the heart of the exhibition. The Games continue to represent nations, cultures and communities, emphasising friendship, collaboration and collective identity.
The exhibition is open to the public, to enter the Library, please ask the friendly staff on the right hand side, just before the barriers.
