Presentation and Promotion by Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme participants

The Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh has kindly arranged a presentation and Q&A session about the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme - an official international exchange and English-teaching initiative supported by the Japanese government.

If you're considering working in Japan, especially in a teaching role, the JET Programme is an excellent opportunity to gain international experience and make a difference.

Applications for the 2026 intake are now open.

Workshop with Japanese Comedians: Franponais

The comedy duo Franponais will host a workshop exploring Japanese language and comic culture.

The event is sponsored by the Toshiba International Foundation.

 

Japanese Hiragana Writing Class

Date: Friday 24 October

Time: 18:00 - 19:30

This special session will teach participants how to write Japanese Hiragana. By the end of the class, everyone will be able to write their own name in Japanese.
