Thanksgiving, celebrated on the 27 November, traces back to 1621 and is an annual national holiday in the United States and Canada. It involves celebrating the harvest and is a special time to give thanks for family, friends, food, good health, and the many blessings in our lives across the past year. Traditionally, families come together to share hearty meals, express gratitude, and enjoy the spirit of being together.

To mark the occasion, we invite you to join us in the Atrium on the 27 November between 12:00 and 14:00 to enjoy sweet treats, visual displays and fun activities. Open to all students and staff, this event is running as part of the university’s BeConnected Programme, designed to help you enjoy your time on campus, take a breather from studies/work, and meet new people.
