Join us for a range of activities and events this Wellbeing Week.

This year we are focusing on the themes of social connections, movement, and support. Throughout the week you can take part in free activities and events, including a therapeutic drawing and herbal mist workshop, pickleball for wellbeing, and Paws Against Stress (Therapets).

Suicide Awareness and Prevention - Wednesday 25 February

On 25 February we are focusing on raising awareness of suicide, breaking down taboo and stigma, and creating the conditions for more open communication.

  • 09:30 - 13:00: SafeTALK training on suicide awareness for staff and students.
  • 13:00 - 16:00: Stalls in Campus Central from suicide support and awareness organisations.
  • 14:00 - 15:30: Suicide awareness talk, panel discussion and Q&A from sector leaders and those with lived experience.
  • 13:00 - 16:30: Papyrus will be offering their Hope Box session in Campus Central and Samaritans will be available for a tea and chat in the Loch View Wellbeing suite.

Activities available throughout Wellbeing Week

In addition to the full programme of Wellbeing events listed below, there are lots of drop-in activities, resources and spaces around campus and online to help you unwind and relax. 

Loch View

The Loch View Wellbeing Suite allows you to decompress and hit pause on the day-to-day hustle.

You can find the suite in Cottrell Building room 2A1, beside the Queens Court entrance. All students, undergraduate and postgraduate, are welcome. Drop-in anytime from 9:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Library wellbeing space

Refresh and relax in the library wellbeing space. The area is equipped for mindfulness, quietly relaxing, or browsing the many wellbeing resources available. The wellbeing space is located on level 2 of the library where you can enjoy the views of our beautiful campus. See library opening hours

Virtual library wellbeing space

Take a break to relax and refresh in our virtual library wellbeing space. Download one of our colouring sheets or complete one of our virtual jigsaws.
