A study to identify how values contribute to the practice of governing and leading colleges
–
Funded by College Development Network.
This is a study to identify how a requirement of the Code of Good Governance for Scotland’s Colleges i.e. determining values, contributes to the practice of governing and leading colleges. A case example college will be selected in the first instance to trial methodologies to reveal key aspects of values determination and application. This study has not been applied to the college sector previously and it is anticipated that the resulting study will have significant implications for the governing and leading of colleges. There could be transferability to other phases of education. The particular case of educational values will be specifically explored alongside this general study of organisational values.
