About me

My PhD research looks at the potential of urban agroecology for health justice. We are working with the human microbiota, who can teach us how we're becoming the places we inhabit. With attention to the roots of health inequities, in particular access to land, we hope to support the movement towards an ecological and decentralised public health.

In the course of the PhD, I'm hoping to bring my background in medicine, regenerative economics and policy analysis to more local action research, working towards a citizen science approach with Lauriston Farm in North Edinburgh.

Creative methods are also important to me as I love making art and speculative fiction, so we are developing a collaborative art-science methodology as a part of the project.
