About me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the History, Heritage and Politics group at the University of Stirling. I work with Paul Cairney and Lukas Fuchs on the Horizon Europe project “WAge Working Environments for healthy ageing“.
Primarily, I am migration and public policy scholar. Though my initial research focus was on Germany, my research zones have expanded to study global border regimes and refugee rights upon obtaining asylum, with a particular interest in how developed states have securitised their borders.
Previously, I was a Research Fellow with Aberystwyth University, where I created an original research project on climate displacement and climate negotiations.
Research interests:
Migration: asylum, bordering, securitisation, displacement, integration (and theories therein), inequality, et al.
Climate: migration and displacement, international law, loss and damage, Common But Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capabilities, negotiation, et al.
Public policy: governance, multi-level governance, policy implementation, policy change, etc.
Future politics: space, lunar settlement, conflict, etc.
