Hector is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Economics at the University of Stirling School of Management.
He holds a number of roles internally and externally: BSc (Hons) Economics Programme Co-Director, PhD convenor for the Economics Division, SGSSS UoA Business and Management Co-Lead at Stirling, SGPE PhD Director, Fellow of the Global Labor Organization.
As an Applied Microeconomist, Hector's research interests lie at the intersection of labour, political economy, development and historical economics. His current research focuses on labour market institutions and outcomes, historical income inequality, and nutrition.
