Abstract
This workshop aims to explore the concept of social justice language education and its implications for transformative teaching practices, an area that has attracted increasing interest in the past decade (Hastings & Jacob, 2016; Ortactepe Hart & Martel, 2020). Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants will delve into key principles and strategies for promoting critical pedagogy and social justice in the language classroom. By the end of the workshop, participants will develop skills and techniques to promote equity and social justice in their educational contexts.
