This project will examine inequalities experienced in later life connected to intersections of stigma and explore the potential of place-based inclusivity for ageing. This project will firstly focus on understanding the impact of intersectional stigma on under-represented groups (with a particular focus on those who may be excluded due to place, age and disability) and further aims to make long-lasting and impactful change by utilising the Inclusive Living Toolkit, developed by McCall (PI) and the Scottish housing sector to tackle barriers to exclusion and make homes and communities more accessible across more deprived communities across the UK. ISPA is an intersectional, place-based project aiming to create more inclusive approaches to ageing across the lifecourse, reduce stigma and increase access to key services.
