Dr Nicky Reid

Nicky Reid is Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Professional Football League Trust, where she leads a nationwide network of 42 club charities that use the power and reach of football to improve lives and strengthen communities across Scotland. A University of Stirling graduate in Film and Media with Sociology, she has more than 20 years’ experience in community development, sport, communications and charitable leadership.

Under her leadership, the Trust has significantly expanded its impact, delivering programmes in health, mental wellbeing, education and social inclusion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led Scottish football’s community response, securing £4.5 million in emergency funding and coordinating support for over 100,000 vulnerable people. Nicky’s work reflects the University’s commitment to transforming lives through education, research, innovation and community partnership. She brings to Court extensive expertise in governance, strategic partnerships, public engagement, public health and delivering measurable social impact.
